Damion James named player of the week

The former Dragon was named Big 12 player of the week for the week ending Nov. 30, according to Texas Sports:

James averaged 12.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while leading Texas to three victories last week. He posted 10 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks against Iowa (Nov. 23) in the semifinals of the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic. James then followed with a game-high 20 points and nine rebounds against Pittsburgh (Nov. 24) in the championship game of the CBE Classic. He was named MVP of the CBE Classic, averaging 15.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game during the two wins in Kansas City. James added eight points and eight rebounds in Sunday's win at Rice (Nov. 29).
